Arizona’s extreme heat impacts everyone. Each year, heat-related illness and death impacts our community. In 2024, 29% of heat-related heaths in Pima County were people experiencing homelessness. The Heat Relief Network (HRN) is a partnership of Pima County, tribal nations, City of Tucson, homeless service providers, nonprofit and faith-based organizations. The HRN coordinates heat relief services for the region, including providing heat relief sites, water, heat-related data, and communication materials.
